Nice view over the sea (sunset) and to some of the islands. Comfortable beds, good AC. KK is very car-oriented and quite pedestrian-unfriendly, but there is a raised walkway, covered against sun and rain, from the back of Horizon Hotel to the Central Market, with the Night Market not very much further along the coast.

Beautiful rooms, spacious and comfortable. The swimming pool on the 6th floor is probably the best in the city: it’s huge and perfect temperature to cool down on a humid and hot day. Amazing vistas over the city and the waterfront up to the islands

My recent stay at Horizon Hotel in Kota Kinabalu was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by the warm and welcoming staff who went above and beyond to ensure my experience was memorable. Their helpfulness and genuine hospitality made me feel right at home. We have also received an exceptional service when I needed a short visit to local medical center and manager and staff took us there and assisted all the way and brought us back with their own car. The hotel’s location is a major advantage. Situated conveniently near popular attractions and I found it easy to explore the vibrant culture and natural beauty of Kota Kinabalu. Whether I was shopping or dinning everything was just a short distance away. One of the highlights of my stay was the breakfast. The selection was impressive, offering a delightful array of local and international dishes. Every morning started on a high note with delicious food that catered to all tastes. The dining area was also well-maintained, providing a pleasant atmosphere to enjoy my meals. Overall, Horizon Hotel exceeded my expectations in every aspect. With its excellent service, fantastic breakfast, and prime location, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kota Kinabalu.

Easy and plenty parking spaces, spacious and comfortable room. Cleanliness is satisfactory but can improve especially in the bathroom. Quiet despite the location, delicious breakfast, convenience store just across the hotel. Pasar besar, pasar filipina, gaya street are within walking distance. Staff very friendly

Location perfect. Friendly and welcoming reception. Very clean, spacious and comfortable room with large windows, of which one small, high, window could be opened. The ocean side rooms have expansive views,and of the sunset too. Pool was large, and great to cool off and relax although there is only space for 2 loungers there are also chairs and tables by the bar. Breakfast was so varied there is something for everyone. Would stay again.

Our 12th-floor stay offered serene ocean views from a distance, creating a peaceful atmosphere despite the hotel not being beachfront. The room was cozy with standard amenities, though the bathtub needed better cleaning. Internet was occasionally slow, but staff were quick to resolve issues, like replacing a faulty fridge. Check-in was smooth, and the friendly staff added to the experience. The hotel features two great restaurants, a coffee shop, and a breakfast buffet with mostly Asian dishes. The infinity pool, children’s pool, and 5th-floor lounge were standout highlights. Watching New Year’s fireworks from our window was a memorable touch. With a few improvements, this hotel could offer even more but already provides a relaxing stay with scenic views.
